David Annandale

Depuis les années 2010 à la blacklibrary, Annandale fait partie des petites mains qui ne rechignent pas à écrire des milliers de pages sur commande. (En 2016 il a commis 6 romans et 12 nouvelles).

Il a beaucoup écrit sur Yarrick et sur les Blood Angel. Ça participation à l’hérésie d’Horus est surtout constitué de nouvelles avec un seul roman.

Depuis que la blacklibrary a décidé de faire une collection livre d’Horreur, on a l’impression que David Annandale peut enfin donner libre court a ça créativité et du coup ces romans sont de bien meilleurs qualités (c’est une appréciation personnelle.)

David Annandale est imperceptiblement devenu un régulier de la BL au cours au cours du dernier gros lustre (un plafonnier donc, plus ou moins sept ans). Ayant bu son encre noire lors de ses débuts de gratteur de papier de base, qui l’ont vu soumettre un nombre conséquent de courts formats plutôt SM (Eclipse of Hope, The Carrion Anthem, The Judges, In Their Hunger,The Dark Hollows of Memory…), suivis par une cohorte de romans franchement SM (The Death of Antagonis, Overfiend, Maledictus, Lemartes, Curse of the Wulfen…), les magnanimes éditeurs de la Black Library ont laissé leur yes-man se spécialiser dans un domaine : la vie et l’oeuvre de Sebastian Yarrick (Evil Eye, Chains of Golgotha, A Plague of Saints, Imperial Creed, The Gallows Saint, Sarcophagus…). Les nouveaux projets 40K-esques de David incluent l’étoffage (?) de la nouvelle gamme horrifique de GW, par nouvelles (The Last Ascension of Dominic Seroff, From the Halls, the Silence, The Summon of Shadows) et romans (The Wicked and the Damned, The House of Night and Chain).
